The Sanhedrin Court turns to the Holy Jewish Public

Meeting of the Court, 8th of Av 5768

The Court of the Sanhedrin turns to the holy public as follows:

The sings of the Footsteps of the Messiah have come already and now is a very special time for the coming salvation. The “Chafetz Chaim” pointed out that during the Sabbatical year, there is an awakening above, and therefore it is incumbent upon us to be doubly strengthened in the fear of heaven, prayer, learning, and in acts of kindness. G-d will see from His holy dwelling and will turn the days of mourning to joy and happiness.

Thus says G-d of Hosts: The fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth will be for the house of Judah for joy and happiness and for appointed holidays, and truth and peace you shall love. (Zechariah 8:19)

Our eyes saw, and not a foreigner, that not a single one of Your words have returned empty handed.

The prophecies regarding the redemption continue to be fulfilled, and with them the words of our holy Torah:

And if they will be dispersed to the ends of heavens, from there the Lord your G-d will gather you. (Deuteronomy 30:4)

The prophet Ezekiel prophesied that “the desolate land will be like Eden”, and so too the rest of the prophets. The Holy One, blessed be He, will circumcise our hearts and will return the hearts of the fathers to the hearts of the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers before the arrival of the Day of G-d. The many repentance movements arouse thirst for the word of G-d. The prophecy of Zechariah has been fulfilled (Zechariah 8:4-5) “Thus says G-d of Hosts: Again old men and old women will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each man with his walking stick from old age. And the roads of the city will be full with young boys and girls playing in the open areas.”

Beside the happiness of the redemption, there is the fear of destruction, the spoiled fruit of weak faith. It is incumbent upon us to be strengthened and to do whatever is possible to speed up the act and to build the ruins of Jerusalem, and at their head, our Temple at the height of mountains.

Therefore the Court rules: The time of the Redemption has come. Speeding it up is in our heads, so that we can be among those that are meritorious.

It is now forty one years that G-d has given us the place of the Temple, and expects us to build it. The Court calls to the government authorities, the Knesset, the Jerusalem Municipality to advance the building of the Temple. First step – preparing plans for action for building the Temple for G-d amongst us, and afterwards implementation of said plans. The Temple, when it will be built, will represent a source of light from Mount Moriah to the entire world.
