קריאה לאומות העולם לשלום עולמי
איגרת מן הסנהדרין, בית דין של שבעים ואחד;
המוסד המשפטי העליון של העם היהודי,
ירושלים עיר הקודש, ארץ ישראל

אל כל העמים, השלטונות והמוסדות
קריאה לשלום ולתפילה בבית ה׳,
בהר בית השם, הר המוריה

הדרך האחת ויחידה להביא שלום לעולם בין העמים, האומות, המדינות והדתות
היא בהקמת בית לה', לעובדו להתפלל בו ולהקריב בו זבחים, כפי חזון הנביאים
וכפי שחזו דוד ושלמה המלך בנו בתפילתו ביום חנוכת הבית (מלכים א, ח).

מא) וגְַם אֶל הַנָּכְרִי אֲשׁרֶ א מֵעַמְּ ישִׂרְָאֵל הוּא וּבָא מֵאֶרֶץ
רְחוֹקָה לְמַעַן שׁמְֶ: (מב) כִּי ישִׁמְעוּן אֶת שׁמְִ הַגָּדוֹל ואְֶת
ידְָ הַחֲזָקָה וּזְרֹעֲ הַנְּטוּיהָ וּבָא והְִתפְַּלֵּל אֶל הַבַּיתִ הַזֶּה:
(מג) אַתּ הָ תּשִׁמְַע הַשּׁמַָיםִ מְכוֹן שׁבְִתּ ֶ ועְָשׂיִת כְּכֹל אֲשׁרֶ
יקְִרָא אֵלֶי הַנָּכְרִי לְמַעַן ידְֵעוּן כָּל עַמֵּי הָאָרֶץ אֶת שׁמְֶ
לְירְִאָה אֹתְ כְּעַמְּ ישִׂרְָאֵל ולְָדַעַת כִּי שׁמְִ נִקְרָא עַל הַבַּיתִ
הַזֶּה אֲשׁרֶ בָּנִיתיִ:

וכנבואת הנביא צפניה (ג,ט):

כִי אָז אֶהְפֹּ אֶל עַמִּים שׂפָה בְרוּרָה לִקְרֹא כֻלָּם בְּשׁםֵ ה'
לְעָבְדוֹ שׁכְֶם אֶחָד :

ארגון האומות המאוחדות חרת על דגלו קטע מהפסוק בו מופיעה הנבואה
הנצחית, חזון השלום:

וכְִתּתְוּ חַרְבוֹת םָ לְאִתּיִם וחֲַנִיתוֹתיֵהֶם לְמַזְמֵרוֹת
(ישעיהו פרק ב, ד)

חזון השלום ישא ברכתו בהקשר שבו נכתב הפסוק במלואו, והוא קריאה לכל
הגויים לעלות אל בית ה' לשם תפילה ולימוד דרכי ה'.

(ב) והְָיהָ בְּאַחֲרִית הַיּמִָים נכָוֹן יהְִיהֶ הַר בֵּית ה' בְּרֹאשׁ הֶהָרִים
ונְִשּׂאָ מִגְּבָעוֹת ונְָהֲרוּ אֵלָיו כָּל הַגּוֹיםִ: (ג) והְָלְכוּ עַמִּים רַבִּים
ואְָמְרוּ לְכוּ ונְַעֲלֶה אֶל הַר ה' אֶל בֵּית אֱהֵי יעֲַקֹב ויְֹרֵנוּ מִדְּרָכָיו
ונְֵלְכָה בְּאֹרְחֹתיָו כִּי מִצִּיּוֹן תּ צֵא תוֹרָה וּדְבַר ה' מִירוּשׁלָים:
(ד) ושְׁפַָט בֵּין הַגּוֹיםִ והְוֹכִיחַ לְעַמִּים רַבִּים וכְִתּתְוּ חַרְבוֹת םָ
לְאִתּיִם וחֲַנִיתוֹתיֵהֶם לְמַזְמֵרוֹת א ישִּׂאָ גוֹי אֶל גּוֹי חֶרֶב
וְא ילְִמְדוּ עוֹד מִלְחָמָה:

וכנגד נבואת ישעיהו חרותה כאזהרה נבואת זכריה:

כִּי א אֶחְמוֹל עוֹד עַל יֹשׁבְֵי הָאָרֶץ נְאֻם ה' והְִנֵּה אָנֹכִי
מַמְצִיא אֶת הָאָדָם אִישׁ בְּידַ רֵעֵהוּ וּבְידַ מַלְכּוֹ וכְִתּתְוּ אֶת
הָאָרֶץ וְא אַצִּיל מִיּדָם:
(זכריה פרק יא,ו)

הבחירה היא בידה של כל אומה, כל שליט וכל אדם - לשלום או למלחמה,
לחיים או למוות. כל הבריות בעולם צופות ורואות לאן נוטה עד עתה מגמת
הדברים. נראה כי מיום ליום גובר האיום על שלום העולם מתוך דחף בלתי
נשלט להישאב אל החורבן.

לפיכך מתוך אחריות משותפת לשלום העולם ולכלל האנושות, מצאנו לנכון
לעת כזאת להזכיר ולהודיע כי יש דרך ומוצא לכל העמים והיא חקוקה בקריאה
זו לבני ישראל, לבני ישמעאל ולבני עשו; לאנושות כולה, לבני יפת, שם וחם,
לאִיים הרחוקים, לארץ סינים וארצות צפון:

כולנו בני אב אחד נחנו, בני אדם הראשון, אשר נברא בצלמו של האל הגדול,
הגיבור והנורא. לפיכך כל האנושות יש בה מן המשפחה עוד בטרם קם קין על
הבל אחיו. הבה נאהב, נכבד ונירא מאבינו שבשמיים ונקים בית תפילה לשמו
כדי להתפלל בו ולעובדו שכם אחד, למען רחמיו הרבים, שבוודאי אינו רוצה
בשפיכות דמים בין ברואיו, אלא באהבה ובשלום בין כל הבריות והברואים.

(ו) וגְָר זְאֵב עִם כֶּבֶשׂ ונְָמֵר עִם גְּדִי ירְִבָּץ ועְֵגֶל וּכְפִיר וּמְרִיא
יחְַדָּו ונְַעַר קָטֹן נֹהֵג בָּם: (ז) וּפָרָה ודָֹב תּרְִעֶינָה יחְַדָּו ירְִבְּצוּ
ילְַדֵיהֶן ואְַרְיהֵ כַּבָּקָר יֹאכַל תּ בֶן: (ח) ושְׁעֲִשׁעַ יוֹנֵק עַל חֻר
פָּת ןֶ ועְַל מְאוּרַת צִפְעוֹנִי גָּמוּל ידָוֹ הָדָה: (ט) א י רֵָעוּ וְא
ישַׁחְִיתוּ בְּכָל הַר קָדְשׁיִ כִּי מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ דֵּעָה אֶת ה' כַּמַּיםִ
לַיּםָ מְכַסִּים:
(ישעיהו פרק יא)

חובה וזכות לכל האנושות להתפלל בהר הבית, במקומות המותרים לכל אדם,
כפי שברא אותו הא-ל: כוהנים, לויים, ישראלים והגויים הנלווים אל עם ה',
בני אומות העולם, באשר כולם יכולים להתפלל בהר הבית, שהוא מקום בית
התפילה לכל העמים.

עיקר העבודה זו תפילה, היכולה להינשא מתוך ענווה, בלב שלם ובנפש
חפצה.

הגויים יכולים לעורר את ישראל למלא את יעודו ולעזור לו בבנין המקדש,
וכך נמצא במדרש שיר השירים שנמצא בגניזה:

"השבעתי אתכם בנות ירושלים". שבועה זו למה?! אלא
אחת לבנין שלמה, אחת לבנין עזרא, וזו לבנין העתיד. ובכולן
השביע הקב"ה את האומות שיעזרו לבנותו".

אנו מתפללים לא-ל עליון, קונה שמים וארץ, שתאזינו לקריאתנו, למען לא
תשוב ריקם. נשמע ונעשה איש כפי יכולתו למנוע שפיכות דמים בהקמת
בית התפילה לכל העמים ובתפילה בו, מבלי שיפגע כבודו של עם מן העמים
הנילווים אל עם ה'.

מאמינים אנו שדבר אחד מדברי הנביאים לא ישוב ריקם ולא נאמר לשווא.

אם תאותו לקריאה זו ותחפשו דרכים אתנו להקימה על מכונה, תהיו מן
המושיעים ומן הזוכים, ואם חס ושלום לא תאזינו, תמשיך האנושות כולה
להתדרדר ח"ו למלחמת איש באחיו, עד יקם ה' את דברו כאשר דיבר!

To all nations, governments,
organizations and institutions:
A Call for Peace and Prayer in the House of
HaShem, on the Temple Mount,
Mount Moriah!

In the name of HaShem*, God of the Universe
Sivan 5767 (June 2007)

I will bring them [the people who give their allegiance to
HaShem<ref>HaShem is the name used by orthodox Jews for God</ref>] to My sanctified mountain, and make them joyful in
My House of Prayer: their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices
shall be favorably accepted on My altar; for My House shall be
called a House of Prayer for all nations.
Isaiah 56:7

A Message from the Sanhedrin,
[the Rabbinic court of seventy-one scholars]:
The Supreme Tribunal of the Jewish People,
Jerusalem, the Holy City, the Land of Israel

Peace among Nations will be achieved through building the
House of HaShem, where all peoples will serve Him, pray to
Him, and offer sacrifices according to the visions of the
prophets, as foreseen by King Solomon in his prayers at the
dedication of the First Holy Temple.

King Solomon stated:

I Kings 8:41: “The foreigner too, who does not belong to Your
people Israel: when he shall come from a distant country for
Your name’s sake.

8:42: (for people shall hear of Your great name, and Your mighty
hand, and Your outstretched arm); when he shall come and pray
towards this house;

8:43: Hear in heaven, Your dwelling place, and do according
to all that the foreigner requests of You; that all the peoples of
the earth may know Your name, to hold You in awe, as do your
people Israel, and that they may know that this Temple which I
have built is called by Your name.

The prophet Zephaniah prophesied for the Third Temple:

Zephaniah 3:9: I will clarify the languages of the nations*,
that they may all call upon the name of HaShem, to serve him
shoulder-to-shoulder.

*meaning: HaShem will clarify the understanding of the
Nations

Thus all nations will worship God together in the House of
God, rebuilt on the Temple Mount, and live together in eternal
peace.

Men of all nations look at the United Nations as the human
instrument to fulfill the famous verse in Isaiah, which expresses
the eternal prophecy and vision of peace:

And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their
spears into pruning hooks.

This famous vision of peace is more fully understood within
the full biblical reference. It consists of a call to all of the
nations to come to the Third Temple to pray and to learn
the ways of God.

Isaiah 2:2: And it shall come to pass in the distant future, that
the mountain of the House of HaShem shall be established
atop of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills;
and all nations shall come streaming to it.

2:3: And many peoples shall come and say: “Come, let us go
up to the mountain of HaShem, to the Temple of the God of
Jacob, and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His
paths, for out of Zion shall go forth the Law and the Word
of HaShem from Jerusalem.”

2:4: And He shall judge between the nations, and shall arbitrate
for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into
plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall
not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war
any more.

In sharp contrast to Isaiah’s prophesy, Zechariah warns:
Zechariah 11:6: For I will no longer have mercy upon the
inhabitants of the land, says HaShem; but, lo, I will deliver
the people, every one, unto his fellow man, and into the
hand of his king; and they shall smite the land, and I will not
save them.

The contrast between the visions of Isaiah and Zechariah for
the future world emphasizes that the rulers of all nations and
every human being must choose between war and peace, life
and death. We all observe the events that are taking place.
It appears that from day to day the threat to world peace is
increasing and we are being dragged towards destruction.

Out of a sense of collective responsibility for world peace
and for all humanity we have found it timely to call to the
World and exclaim that there is a way out for all peoples. It
is etched in a call to all humanity: We are all the sons of one
father, the descendants of Adam, and all humanity is but a
single family.

Come let us love and respect one another, and love and
honor and hold our heavenly Father in awe. Let us establish
a house of prayer in His name in order to worship and serve
Him together, for the sake of His great compassion. He surely
does not want the blood of His creations spilled, but prefers
love and peace among all mankind.

Isaiah clearly predicted that there will be peace among the
nations:

Isaiah 11:6: The wolf will dwell with the sheep,
and the leopard will lie down with the young goat;
The calf, the young lion, and the fattened calf together;
and a little child will lead them.

11:7: The cow and the bear will graze.
Their young ones will lie down together.
The lion will eat straw like cattle;

11:8: The nursing child will play near a cobra’s hole,
and the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den.

11:9: They will not do evil nor destroy on all My holy
mountain; for the earth will be full of the knowledge of HaShem,
as the waters cover the sea.

It is the right and obligation of all humanity to pray, in the areas
permitted to each person as his or her situation determines:
the High Priest, the priests serving in the Temple, the Levites,
the Children of Israel and the Childern of Noah, gentiles - all
who pray on the Temple Mount, in the House of Prayer for
all Nations.

The essence of the service of God is prayer, in humility, with
a full heart and a willing soul.

The Nations can arouse Israel to reach its goals and to help
Israel build the Temple; as we find in the Midrash of the Song
of Songs:

The Shulamith calls: “I adjure you, O neighbours of Jerusalem…
do not arouse my love until it is ready” is repeated three times
[Song of Songs 2:7, 3:5; 8:4]. Why these three oaths? One for
Solomon's Temple, one for the Second Temple, and one for
the Third Temple; God has exacted an oath from the nations
to help build the Temples of the past and in the future!”

We pray to the Almighy Creator, that you harken to our Call.
Together - each according to his or her ability - we shall work
towards the building of the House of Prayer for All Nations
on the Temple Mount in peace and mutual understanding.

We believe that all the visions of the prophets will be fulfilled,
and that they were not said in vain.

It is time to respond to this call and help to enable the building
of the Temple in Jerusalem. This way you can promote
peace and bring about the realization of the prophecies in
the Bible.

We close with God`s blessing given to our father Abraham:
“Those that bless you will be blessed” [Genesis 12:3].
