Sanhedrin: Non-Jews have the right to worship on the Temple Mount

Source NEWS1

By: Idan Yosef

Rabbis of the Sanhedrin have sent a letter to the heads of countries in the world with a call to Israel to encourage the establishment of the Temple and participate in prayer on the Temple Mount, which is not reserved only for the Jewish people, they said, and that is what will bring peace

In the global letter to "all the nations, governments, and institutions", the court of 71 rabbis of the Sanhedrin, which represents with the description of "the highest judicial institution for the Jewish Nation", turns with a call for peace and prayer in the House of G-d on the Temple Mount of G-d, Mount Moriah.

The letter, which is mean for distribution in all languages, was sent to many heads of state, including the heads of enemy states like Iran. According to the Sanhedrin, the only way to bring peace to the world and between nations, states, and religions, is erecting the House for G-d, to serve Him, to pray in it and to bring sacrifices, according to the vision of the prophets and as Kings David saw and Solomon his son said during his prayer for the dedication of the Temple.

As support for their words, they quote the prophecy of the bible:

"And also to the words of the foreigner who is not from Your nation, Israel, and he will come from a far away land for Your name's sake. For they will hear of Your great name and Your powerful hand and Your outstretched arm, and they will come and pray to this house. You, in Your dwelling place of Heaven, should hear and do according to what the foreigner will call to you, such that the nations of the world will know Your name and to fear You like Your nation, Israel, and to know that Your name is called upon this house which I have built... for then I will switch the nations to speak a clear language to all call in the name of G-d and to serve Him as one."[1]

Incomplete Quote at the UN

The Rabbis of the Sanhedrin say that the United Nations engraved upon their flag a section of a verse in which appears the eternal prophecy, the vision of peace - "And they shall beat their swords in to plowshares, and their spears to pruning hooks", however this is a partial quote, that indeed the vision of peace will only receive its blessing in relation to what is written in the entire verse and that is: A call to all nations to ascend to the House of G-d for prayer and study of the ways of G-d.

"And it will be in the end of days that the mount of the House of G-d will be upright at the head of mountains, higher than hills, and all the nations shall flow to it, and many nations will go and say let us go up to the mountain of G-d, to the house of the G-d of Jacob, and He will teach us from His ways, and we will go in his paths, for from Zion Torah will go out, and the word of G-d from Jerusalem. And he will judge between nations and reprove many peoples, and they shall beat their swords in to plowshares, and their spears to pruning hooks, one nation will not lift a sword against another, and they will not learn war anymore... For I will no more have mercy on the dwellers of the earth, says G-d, and behold I present the human a man in the hand of his fellow and in the hand of his king, and they will beat the land and I will not save from their hands."[2]

In the letter, signed by the heads of the Sanhedrin: Nasi Rabbi Adin Shteinzaltz, Av Beit Din for Matters of B'nei Noach, Rabbi Yoel Schwartz, Av Beit Din for Matters of Nation and State and head of the Temple Institute, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, it is written: "The choice is in the hands of every nation, every leader, and every man for peace or for war - for life or for death. All the creations of the world look and see where we are headed until now as a trend of things. It appears that day to day the threat on world peace increases amidst an uncontrollable pull towards destruction. Therefore, from joint responsibility for world peace and all of humanity, we have found proper at this time to remind and announce that there is a way out for all nations, and it is written in a call to the children of Israel, the children of Ishmael, and the children of Esau, to all of mankind, to the sons of Japhet, the sons of Ham, to the far off islands, to the land of the Chinese and the far north: We are all sons of the same father, the sons of the first man, Adam, who was created in the image of the Great, Mighty and Awesome G-d. Therefore humanity has within it family, even before Cain rose up upon his brother Abel. Let us love, let us respect, let us fear our Father in Heaven and establish a House of Prayer for His Name in order to pray in it and serve Him as one, for the sake of His great mercy, that of course He does not want bloodshed amongst His creations, but rather love and peace amongst all the creations."

Right and obligation to pray at Mount

The Rabbis of the Sanhedrin write that prayer on the Temple Mount is a right reserved for all people, and even an obligation, as long as it is done in the permitted places - according to the person praying, beginning from Cohanim, Levites, Israelites, ending with B'nei Noach. They also added, based on a Jewish ‘’midrash’’, that the non-Jews can arouse Israel to fulfill its role and to help building the Temple.

We pray to G-d Most High, who owns heaven and earth, that you listen to our call so that we not be turned back empty handed, which is directed to us all. We will hear and we will do, each person according to his ability, in order to prevent bloodshed in establishing the House of Prayer for all nations, without harming the honor of any of the nations who follow the nation of G-d. We believe that nothing in the words of the prophets that will not be fulfilled and none of it was said for naught. If you heed this call and find ways with us to build it in its place, you will be among the saviors, and if, G-d forbid, you don't listen, all of humanity will continue its descent to war, man against his brother, until G-d will raise up His word as He has said!", thus the Sanhedrin signed the letter.
